The Canary Islands Discovery

A 7 nights cruise that shows the cultural diversity of the Canary Islands

7 Nights, 8 days cruise.

Why go: many people swerve “the Canaries”, thinking they are simply fly and flop beach holidays destinations. If that’s your mindset it’s well worth thinking again as, seen at sea-level, this mountainous volcanic archipelago laying 100 kms off the coast of Morocco is quite stunning. so why go? Go and see the wonderful bits the fly-and-floppers never get to!

In brief: it’s actually quite easy to get around this group of islands by sea and this sort of itinerary is perfect for small ship, small group cruising. There are one of two bigger ports but once you get off the beaten track to the smaller islands its much more friendly to moor up in the smaller harbours. The Canaries are an outpost of Spain, with a familiar Spanish flavour, but you’ll find amazing contrast of shining golden sand dunes, deep blue seas, green forest and unique black volcanic lava fields. It’s beautiful, it’s enchanting, there are UNESCO World Heritage sites aplenty, and you see a new island every day of your stay.
