Bodrum – Gokova
Relax and enjoy the warm, beautiful waters of the Turkish Coast aboard a luxury air-conditioned, fully crewed sailing Gulet.
A Luxury Gulet Cruise
For centuries there has only been one way for locals to cruise the Turkish coast and venture beyond – and that is by Gulet. The word actually derives from the French ‘Goulette’ which is a wooden schooner. These traditional vessels have long been built on the beaches hereabouts from timber and materials bought in by camel train. They are fabulous wooden boats with lots of character, built by hand by craftsmen using skills passed down from father to son.
Today these workaday sailing craft are purpose built as small cruise vessels typically with 8 cabins with the emphasis on comfort and style. You will find. a spacious sun deck, a comfortable saloon and dining room and a wonderful shaded deck saloon with al fresco dining area that is the focal point of the vessel. Air-conditioning throughout is standard. All our gulets are fully-catered and offer comfortable traditionally styled cabins rich in natural woods with en-suite bathroom. With typically just eight cabins on board and an experienced and professional crew, you are assured of a personal and friendly service and an unforgettable holiday.
This cruise is operated exclusively on luxury, air-conditioned Gulets. All of them are fully-catered and offer luxurious en-suite facilities as well as spacious public areas. With a maximum of eight cabins on board, you are assured of a personal and friendly service from the experienced and professional crew.
This cruise may start in the bustling and cosmopolitan harbour of Bodrum but once leaving port you’ll quickly find yourself off the beaten track in places with unpronounceable names that few tourists ever visit – quite simply you have to sail there. It’s all about the sea, nature, pine forests and pretty much total relaxation. Along with some good food and the occasional ancient monument to talk about when you get home.
